Annabelle

Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate

ANNABELLE.jpg

Hello! My name is Annabelle, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) under the clinical supervision of Ilyse Kennedy, LPC-S, LMFT-S and Brittany Jones, LPC-S, RPT-S. I received my Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University and am passionate about working with children and adolescents.

I offer counseling services for kids and teens, ages 3 and up. Before starting my career as a mental health counselor and play therapist, I worked as a Registered Behavioral Therapist (RBT) supporting young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). My experience as an RBT and my time spent working in both school and clinical settings have strengthened my interest in play therapy and adolescent counseling.

I believe play is a child's natural language and an essential tool for connection. Using a client-centered, strengths-based approach, I create a warm, inviting, and non-judgmental space where children feel heard and supported. In my work with teens and tweens, I incorporate mindfulness techniques and creative expression to help racing minds slow down, stay present, and cultivate greater self-awareness and compassion.

I have provided counseling services to groups and individuals in various settings, including several schools, the Travis County Correctional Complex, and clinics across the city. I have experience with and offer support for a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss, ADHD, ASD, family conflict, trauma, self-esteem, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation, divorce, and beyond. My goal is to offer an authentic and reliable presence for children where they feel safe to explore and grow.
